Scattered rainshowers expected in parts of Visayas, Mindanao

Published January 25, 2018 5:21am A Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 95 kilometers east of Butuan City, Agusan del Norte early Thursday morning, the PAGASA reported in its morning forecast.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon affecting northern Luzon and central Luzon.

With the LPA, the Bicol region, eastern Visayas and the provinces of Quezon, Romblon, northern Cebu, Dinagat islands and Surigao del Norte including Siargao islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Cagayan Valley Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and Aurora will have cloudy skies with scattered rains due to the northeast monsoon.

The Ilocos Region and the rest of central Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rains also due to the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

The coastal water conditions in the northern and western section of northern Luzon will be rough to very rough, in eastern Visayas and eastern section of Mindanao will be moderate to occasionally rough while the waters in the rest of the country will be slight to moderate. — BAP, GMA News
